28th Poem: Sing Me A Lullaby

Sing Me A Lullaby

It is a dark night,
A night of new moon
A dull starless night
Naked pitch black sky

In a dark room I lay
No sound but a ticking clock
No one but me and my ghosts
A living nightmare of mine

And still awake I am
Drown by my sorrow
Haunted by my griefs
Conscious of my guilts

I long for my sleep
I miss my own sleep
Yet my eyes betray me
While my ears trick me
Seeing nothing but everything
Hearing everything but nothing

So where are you,
Oh my slumber fairy?

Sing me a lullaby
Lull me to my slumber
Away from these terrors

Where are you, oh fairy?
Sing me a lullalby
Sing me a lullaby,
Please?

-End-
(dedicated to all insomnia people caused by stress and too much thinking)

Well, okay long time no new posts and here we go, another depressing poem >.< oh well I am depressed coz of my grade. This poem was written as I lay on my bed and thinking about my grade and started depressing over it and is still depressing over it until now. Not to mention I get a bad case of insomnia too these days.

About the lullaby...I wish for someone to sing me one but there is none so I have to make do with a mere mp3 player of mine  -.-;

Happy reading!
