41st Poem: Friends Are For

Friends Are for

What would I do if

I had a million dollars,

I had a phone,

I had a computer,

I had a car,

I had an island,

We would shop till drop

I would call you every day

I would spam your email inbox

We would drive around the world

We would sunbath upon its sand

Because without you,

Dollars are papers to be burnt

Phone is a nuisance ring

Computer is a stupid machine

Car is a nature’s enemy

Island is a lonely place

Hence,

Shop and grin with me,

Chat and giggle with me,

Text and smile with me,

Drive and laugh with me,

Lounge and relax with me

For you are my friend and you brighten up my life.

Late night discussion about being happy and happiness in life had made me thought and thought and think. Hence, viola! This is what I define as my happiness. Well at least part of what I think why I am happy or why I can say that I am happy in my life even if I am not working in what my passion at.

If you want to analyze of the lyrics and why I mentions those items then I can only say that I was inspired by the ironic of they who have money but are unhappy, they who have phones/cell phones/smart phones but still sulk, they who have computers/laptops but are heart broken by the distance, they who have cars but have no where to go, they who have the world but decide to be suicidal.

I do pity the money, the phones/cell phones/smart phones, the computers/laptops, the cars and the whole richness. Perhaps they can donate them to me? ;D
